Fire Safety

This week we went to visit the Fire Station near the Library. Once we got there we went inside the garage, then they introduce their self. After that we went outside and learnt about the fire truck, they told us about the fire truck and how it's useful, they also told us about the equipment. Then they showed us how they help people when there's a car crash. It was really great because we got to learnt  a lot about Firefighters  and also about the Firetruck.

Police

Yesterday on Thursday the police came and visited our school they brought a helicopter with them. It was really great because it was our first time seeing one up close. They told us about the helicopter and how it works, we also got to ask questions. They told us that their is 2 engine, 1 engine for operating the helicopter and the other is a spear, after that the helicopter flew off. Then the police came with their cars and also they came with their dogs it was so cool because the dog had really great senses.

Maths Strategy - Screencastify

Affonso, Harlem and I have created this screencastify to explain the strategy we used to find the answer to this maths question. Using our times tables was easier than using repeated addition. We were able to find the answer quickly without loosing count. I think we all collaborated really well.

Learning to Motivate others

We are learning about leadership because our school leaders are leaving this year and the year 7's will be the leaders. Today we looked at what Motivation means and how it can be useful. We then worked together to create a role play to help us see what Motivating others looks like, so we can learn to Motivate others. This is my Word Art about motivating, and these are the synonyms of the word motivate.

Art-Tech

Today we had tech this is my finished work. First we thing we did was drawing our patterns on a paper, the second step was to transfer it onto a piece of wood. The third step was to carve out the lightest colour. Once we finished we had to paint it, my first colour was yellow, then we had to carve out the second lightest colour, then I paint red, then I carve out all of my other colour then paint green.
