Matariki
Matariki
Matariki is a group of seven stars and it is also the name of Maori new year.
The Matariki stars are also called the Seven Sisters.
When the Matariki stars shine brightly the plants will grow large and strong.
It is celebrated by planting trees and making and flying kites and it is time to weave and carve things.
Matariki is a time to make plans for the future
and forgive and forget problems.
