Yesterday Panmure Bridge School held a special assembly to launch the 2017 /2018 Summer Learning Journey. We would like to thank all our guests who attended our assembly including Rachel and Hazel from the Wolf Fisher Research Centre, The NEXT Foundation, Manaiakalani, and members of our Board of Trustees. At the assembly we watched this video, I found it really interesting because I heard about Daniel's summer learning journey. Seeing learning space 2 being filmed was outstanding because they showed how confident they were and how they can share their learning with others. The Summer Learning Journey helps us to continue learning over the holidays in a fun and interesting way. I am very excited to take part in the Summer Learning Journey over the holiday break.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Tech - Reflection
Term 2: Hard Materials
For Hard Materials we learnt how to make wood crafts. The wood craft I chose to make was a helicopter. I really enjoyed making the helicopter because it was a challenge for me. I would like to thank to Mr Grundy.
Term 2: Food Tech
At food tech we learnt how to cook and also how to use the cooking tools. I really enjoyed it because we got to make tasty food. I would like to thank Mrs Heka.
Term 3: Art
At art tech it was really fun because we did drawing and I learnt how to carve. I would like to thank Mrs Telefoni.
I really enjoyed going to tech this year because it was my first time and I really enjoyed learning and making new things.

PE at Tamaki College
Last week on Friday we went to Tamaki College because we had Tech. After tech we stayed at Tamaki College. We were put in 3 groups, Social Science, PE and Robotics. The group I was in was PE. The first activity we did was Infinity tag. The rules for Infinity tag are when you get tag you have to sit down and when the person that tag you gets tag you can start playing again. After we played a game or two we then played in teams team red and team blue. The team I was in was blue. The second activity we did was called Bench ball. The rules are that you have two catchers and the two catcher have to stand on the other side of the bench and we have to throw the ball to them if they catch it you go and catch with them, you also have two people defending, they block the ball when it's thrown to the other side of the bench. Our third game was Samoan softball, we did't have a bat so we used out legs and hands, we could kick it or throw it, we had to run to the other side of the court and keep our hand on the wall and if we let go we had to run back to the other side. I would like to think Mr Moyes.
