Winter Learning Journey

For this Winter Learning Journey I have to write 3 reasons why Possums are pests.

1. Possums carry diseases. 
2. Possums are eating eggs of a kokako.
3. They are damaging trees.

    I think possums are one of the worst pests because not only are they eating the eggs of the Kokako, but they eat the chicks too. Well done on this activity.

    Hi San Kyaw. I agree with Possums are pests. The can be very harmful to our naive animals. Great blogpost. Keep up the great work.

    Hello San Kyaw!

    These are 3 very good reasons to get rid of possums! Unfortunately they are causing lots of damage, but the plan is to have them all gone by the year 2050. Hopefully this can be achieved!

    Hi San Kyaw. I agree with you that Possums do carry diseases but some also don't carry any diseases if there are a pet.

    I agree with you, and also, did you know that Possums eat the same food, so they make native New Zealand animals starve as well.
